How do I defeat monsters?

In order to defeat a monster you need to match the Roomies until the monster runs away.

Each monster has a white bar which displays its stamina. The monster's stamina diminishes each time the Roomies are matched.

 

Collect Charms to get extra attack power against specific monsters.
